Fin whale and killer whales sighted!

We've had some exciting wildlife sightings this summer. Here are some examples:
Gairloch-based operator,
Hebridean Whale Cruises took this fabulous photo of a
fin whale, a rare sighting so close to land. The whale was first encountered on Thursday the 24th, 3 miles north of Rona,
then again on 29th and again yesterday the 31st. It
appears to be a adult or sub adult of 18 metres and is the first confirmed sighting in the
Hebrides since 2006.
A sea-kayaking tour, with activity tour operator,
Wilderness Scotland spied an
orca last week (21st July) in the Sound of Arisaig:
